Mira Calix and Onibus Onibus is a new music and film work devised by Mira Calix and the makers of award-winning documentary film Onibus, directed by Augusto Contento. This new project follows on from the successful collaboration between Calix, Opera North Projects and Faulty Optic on Dead Wedding in 2007. This unique performance weaves a hauntingly beautiful score for clarinet, marimba, cello and laptop around a trip into the depths of the Brazilian land and people. Onibus will be shown in Leeds as part of the Evolution Festival on 24th May and at the Late Music Festival in York on Saturday 7th June.
